25 October 2024, PR newswire

The global online sports coaching platforms market is projected to grow by $1.24 billion from 2024 to 2028, with a 14.07% CAGR, driven by the rising involvement of athletes and increased internet accessibility. Major players in this fragmented market include Actiquest Inc., Athletic Mentors, CoachNow, and TrainingPeaks LLC. As over 5.44 billion people have internet access, online coaching platforms have gained traction due to their accessibility and integration of advanced technologies like AI, machine learning, and data analytics, which allow real-time performance monitoring and personalized training programs.

These platforms offer digital solutions such as virtual coaching sessions, video lectures, and interactive modules. Advanced performance-tracking features use biometric sensors, wearable tech, and video analysis, allowing athletes and coaches to create customized, data-driven plans. The shift to online sports coaching has expanded training access to professional and non-professional athletes across sports like soccer, basketball, and swimming. The use of gamification, cloud solutions, and wearables like Fitbit enhances training, positioning online platforms as vital tools in the digital transformation of sports coaching. 📈

Neuromorphic Computing Market worth $1,325.2 million by 2030

25 October 2024, PR newswire

The neuromorphic computing market is expected to grow significantly from $28.5 million in 2024 to $1,325.2 million by 2030, with a remarkable CAGR of 89.7%, as reported by MarketsandMarkets™. This growth is primarily driven by applications in the automotive and space sectors, where neuromorphic processors enable real-time processing with minimal latency. For autonomous vehicles, neuromorphic processors enhance safety by allowing faster response times. In space operations, these processors analyze data at the source, reducing the need to send large datasets back to Earth, crucial in limited-bandwidth situations.

Key growth segments include the software and cloud sectors. Neuromorphic software leverages spiking neural networks (SNNs) that mimic brain neuron firing, making edge and IoT applications more power-efficient and effective in tasks like pattern recognition. The cloud segment is also set to see substantial growth, as cloud platforms offer scalable resources for processing complex neuromorphic models and handling large datasets, essential for extensive simulations and training. These advancements position neuromorphic computing as a transformative solution in energy-efficient, large-scale AI applications. 🚀

Distillers in US pricing “aggressively”, Becle says

25 October 2024, Just Drinks

Becle, the parent company of Jose Cuervo Tequila, has expressed concerns about continued challenges in the U.S. spirits market due to aggressive pricing tactics among competitors. This environment has increased market pressure, as distillers adopt competitive pricing to secure consumer interest amid inflationary trends and shifting consumption habits. The heightened pricing competition could impact Becle's profit margins and market share in the U.S., a critical market for the brand, despite Jose Cuervo’s strong reputation and presence in the premium tequila segment.

Additionally, the industry faces broader headwinds such as supply chain issues and fluctuating demand, pushing companies like Becle to balance between pricing strategies and maintaining brand value. Becle remains committed to leveraging Jose Cuervo's quality and brand positioning to navigate these market challenges while exploring growth opportunities in other regions to offset U.S. pressures. The company’s focus remains on sustaining its competitive edge and addressing consumer demand for premium products amidst these pricing pressures. 🍹

Country Cares for St. Jude Kids® Celebrates 35 Years and $1 Billion Raised

 25 October 2024, Businesswire

The Country Cares program, founded by Randy Owen of the band Alabama in 1989, has played a crucial role in supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. With initiatives like radiothons, the This Shirt Saves Lives  campaign, and music events, the program raises funds for St. Jude, which needs nearly $2 billion annually to operate and expand its life-saving work. The country music community, through artists, fans, and radio stations, has contributed significantly, helping raise over $70 million annually. Richard C. Shadyac Jr., CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising arm for St. Jude, praised the community's commitment, emphasizing the vital support it provides so families never receive bills for treatment or care.

In recognition of Randy and his wife, Kelly, a studio at St. Jude has been dedicated to them. The 2024 Angels Among Us  award went to the band Old Dominion, joining past honorees like Lady A and Brad Paisley. This program exemplifies the powerful impact of music on charitable work, fueling hope and support for children battling cancer and life-threatening diseases. 🎶
