To begin your GA4 journey, you'll need a Google account. If you're already using Google products like Gmail or Ads, you can use the same account for Google Analytics. If not, it's easy to create a new Google account solely for accessing Google Analytics.

Once you have your Google account, create your Analytics account, and you're ready to move on to the next step.

Step 2: Create a Google Analytics 4 Property

To enable GA4, you need to create a Google Analytics 4 property and add it to your Shopify store (or other relevant platforms). After creating the property, make a note of the Tag ID, as you'll need it for the next step. This Tag ID is crucial for tracking your website data effectively.

Step 3: Add Google Analytics 4 Tags

Now it's time to add GA4 tags to your Shopify store. During the setup process, if you haven't installed the Google & YouTube channel, you'll be prompted to do so. No need to connect to the Google Merchant Center at this stage.
