WHAT’S COOKING, HUH?

It may be cause for concern if a company's website begins to witness a decrease in traffic.🚥

A dramatic drop in visitors is sometimes an indicator of approaching sales loss🙆, as less internet traffic usually translates to fewer clients. To minimize the impact on a company's bottom line,⏬ the problem should be detected and handled as soon as feasible, and this is often the duty of an agency partner.👭

😮Update of the Algorithm

Knowing that an algorithm update is a common reason, the first thing to look 👀into is that. At the same time, you should check your internal content strategy, publishing, and optimization to see if anything has changed. Google🔍 Search Console and SEMrush are excellent tools to use.

🈸Changes in the Technology Stack

A drop in traffic is nearly always the result of a change in the tech stack or genuine marketing operations. Without platform changes on paid traffic sources or broken 💔tracking, traffic can spike up, but it should never spike down.🔻

🎱Drops in the number of visitors to specific pages

Under "Acquisition > Overview," Google Analytics displays all traffic. Organic Search, Direct, Referral, Display, Paid Search👛, Social, and Other are among the categories available. You may look into each channel to discover why it dropped. To figure out what changed and why, you can drill down into specific websites, pages, campaigns, and more.📆

🤔Algorithm Updates Aren't the Only Reasons

While algorithm updates are the most common cause of a rapid drop in website traffic, penalties from search engines, loss of keyword rankings, and redirection can all cause traffic drops. You may verify this using Google Search Console,🗄️ and then take the necessary measures to correct these issues to reclaim your organic traffic rankings. ( you got this 💪)

All That Your Business Needs Is Right Here

Successful people read—a fact no one can and must overlook. However, it’s not the reading that’s important; it’s what they read that holds value.

Successful people are highly selective about what they read, choosing only written work that might prove to be fruitful and provide value in the long run as opposed to (often) reading for pleasure. They opt for books that encourage success, self-improvement, and education; they pick up books about marketing psychology, social skills, business strategies, and biographies to develop skills and instill business innovation into their daily schedule.

What Is Regular Reading Important?

Reading daily can be mentally stimulating and relaxing at the same time. It helps you in more ways than you imagine, especially if you’re building up a DTC brand that requires troubleshooting every day. To paint a better picture, here are some benefits:

🧩 Boosts Brain Functioning & Power

Reading improves brain functioning, a skill every entrepreneur needs to succeed, as it helps analyze data and configure potential solutions to problems. Through reading, your brain ‘works out’ as it receives more blood flow and engages the area responsible for communication, spatial awareness, and vocabulary. Hence, the higher the difficulty in reading the text, the better it flexes your brain.

🧠 Better Cognitive Functioning

Cognitive functioning is responsible for memory, decision-making, verbal abilities, and reasoning—everything a DTC business-associated individual needs. Through reading, you can enhance your brain’s cognitive functions to develop all the necessary skills you need to succeed.

Your memory improves, helping you retain more information and get better at analytical thinking.

🧘‍♀️ It’s Relaxing!

Being a part of a DTC business gunning for success is difficult; of course, you’d want to relax! Reading helps one destress much faster than listening to music or strolling. It is said to reduce stress levels by 68%.

🤝 Develop People Skills

Reading introduces you to cultures, countries, and perspectives, helping one navigate their way through a new territory easily. You can enhance your people’s skills drastically through reading alone, making you a better communicator, negotiator, and orator.

There’s no denying it - reading is one of the best ways one can get a step closer to succeeding in establishing your DTC business. With so many benefits, it wouldn’t hurt to try one out. So, onboard with us about reading but don’t know where to start? We can help!

Here are some of the best recommendations by successful DTC business owners.

#1 The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss

The book is a blueprint of how you can break free from the draining corporate lifestyle and build one that caters to your dreams.

#2 DotCom Secrets by Russell Brunson

Loaded with processes, funnels, and scripts that can help you scale your DTC business, this book was created by authors running various tests to understand what it takes for biz to be successful.

#3 Building A Story Brand by Donald Miller

A successful customer retention manager, Donald Miller, helps you improve your connection with your customers by teaching you how to incorporate powerful stories into your brand message successfully.

#4 Atomic Habits by James Clear

THE self-improvement book you need in 2022; need we say more?

#5 The E-Myth Revisited by Michael E. Gerber

This book helps break down the blueprint of a successful business for you, letting you know of the incorrect assumptions and unrealistic expectations one might have in their mind.

If reading is often the last thing on your daily to-do list, consider moving it up a few spaces. Don’t challenge yourself with Goodreads’ 250-Books-A-Year Challenge; start slow and work your way through the never-ending pile of books that can help you run your DTC business a little better.

BRAND OF THE WEEK is…

Drew Barrymore invests in Grove Collaborative

Grove Collaborative's collaboration with Drew Barrymore comes at a time when the company is expanding, as it prepares to go public 📢and expand its product offering

Over the previous year, the company has released about 100 new Grove Co. and Peach Not Plastic goods, according to the company. Grove just joined the children's personal care🚸(Wow) market and entered the pet market in December.

The business founded the Plastic Working Group two years ago, a group of more than 85 brands dedicated to moving the industry away from plastic. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦Grove's collaboration with Barrymore is also geared at weaning the industry off of single-use plastic.

"Drew is such a positive and authentic person, and she is an incredible example of someone who strives to affect change by inspiring and educating others," Stu Landesberg, CEO, and co-founder of Grove Collaborative said in a statement. "We are thrilled to welcome Drew to the team to work together towards a common goal of creating a more sustainable plastic-free future."

The DTC brand wants to go public on the New York Stock Exchange💸 in the first part of this year under the ticker symbol "GROV," with ambitious intentions for long-term expansion.

After successful cooperation with Target, the company intends to make $600 million 💰by 2024 and plans to expand its wholesale footprint.

Grove collaboration, on the other hand, has recently reduced its employees and fallen short of income targets🎯 as it prepares to go public. To decrease operational costs and "strengthen critical strategic areas across the business," the corporation lay off around 17% of its corporate employees.

The results were attributable to supply chain challenges, changing disinfection product demand, and a shift in marketing budget that hampered client acquisition, according to the business.
