On Monday, Space Runners announced a $10 million investment round in support of its mission to create a broader platform for fashion in the metaverse by offering open-sourced fashion products as non-fungible tokens ("NFTs") in conjunction with artists and companies💃. Won Soh, who co-founded Space Runners with Deniz zgür, stated in a statement in connection with the seed financing, "Our goal is to build the first end-to-end fashion ecosystem on the blockchain." ( Woah! 🥳)

The round was led by Pantera Capital and Polychain Capital, along with participation from Jump Crypto, Accel, Animoca Brands chairman Yat Siu, and Twitch co-founder Justin Kan.

Space 🚀 Runners says it will use the new funding – which brings its total funding to $30 million💰 – to build out SPACEverse,( Cool, right? "a fashion metaverse incorporating a wear2earn economy, in addition to doubling down on its initial NFT success in the hopes of becoming "the largest supplier of interoperable fashion items for different metaverses and games.

Users will be able to "showcase trendy NFTs, participate in events, engage with other users, and play games with other users" on the SPACEverse platform 🌌, which the business describes as "the first fashion metaverse that brings communities, companies, and celebrities together."🔥

Simultaneously, the firm hopes to expand its partnerships with fashion👛, music🎶, sports ⚽, art 🎨, and web3🕸  players, as well as "enrich the Space Runner community.

Space Runners' ascension is a result of the success of fellow digitally native organization RTFKT, which raised $8 million in May 2021 after netting $3.1 million in sales in a matter of minutes for the 621 pairs of virtual sneakers it designed with artist Fewocious and was later acquired by Nike 👞in December.

eCommerce SEO Strategies That Guarantee Success In 2022

So, you’ve created a beautiful website, uploaded your product images, created content for every page, and added a few widgets to smoothen out your customer journey—now what? For your customers to be able to reach you in this wide wide world of the internet, you need to be easy to find. Enter, eCommerce SEO!

Picture this: your potential customer is out and about on the internet, surfing to find the perfect gift for their family for the coming holidays. They know they want a gift, but don’t know that you have THE best products that’ll suit their family members. Using on-page SEO, you can help them discover you without any hassle, almost like they stumbled upon your brand by sheer luck *wink wink*

With so many resources online that can teach you about SEO and best practices, rarely can we find practical tips and tricks an eCommerce entrepreneur can keep up their sleeves. So, we’ve scavenged the internet to find some of the best information to upgrade your eCommerce websites. Stay with us!

Why & What Is It?

Acquiring customers comes at a heavy price—literally!

Even with a decent website, using paid services to get traffic to your eCommerce site can result in a loss. You’d have to spend thousands of $$$ only to get a few clicks unless you’re optimized, to begin with. Additionally, ad blocker extensions now are notorious for diluting the effectiveness of ad campaigns. Hence, at times like these, organic traffic is the way to go! This is where eCommerce SEO can help you.

ECommerce SEO is the process of altering your eCommerce website for it to ideally land on the first page of any search engine (SERPs), that is, increase its visibility to potential customers. Higher the rank, higher than chances of customers visiting your website, which would result in more foot traffic and better results.

This SEO practice involves optimizing the on-page content, such as product descriptions, headlines, product names, and more, as well as altering meta descriptions and data, internal link structure, information flow through the website, etc. The design, structure, and content of each page on your eCommerce store make a difference in the overall sales of your business.

We can’t stress enough just how essential it is for your business to integrate SEO practices into your brand strategy if you wish to see sustainable results (read: cashflow). So, of course, we won’t let you go without sharing some of the best SEO strategies that you can work on starting today!

🧱 Site Architecture

If you’ve been putting off a website revamp for some time now (we totally get you, it’s a lot of work), now would be a good time to floor the pedal on the process.

Your website’s architecture is the key to a great customer experience. If you have a thousand different unorganized pages that are scattered all around your website, your customers are going to feel frustrated, confused, or both, all at once. That’s incentive enough for them to walk out without making a purchase. Not only that, bad website architecture hurts your SEO rankings.

Map out the flow of your website, create a cohesive and simple architecture, and categorize pages to club them together to give your visitors a seamless experience.

👨‍💻Technical SEO

We’d suggest taking help from an expert on this one.

Technical SEO is more than just meta titles and descriptions. Ensure that you take time to create clearer URLs for all the pages, update interlinking, and have appropriate error messages with better navigation to solutions for your customers. With a few simple tweaks to technical SEO, your rank can go surprisingly up in no time, helping your business a great deal!

🔗Create Backlinks

Backlinks directly affect your Google rankings; accurate and effective backlinking can increase your website’s visibility on SERPs.

Ensure you backlink your Homepage to your product pages for vetter navigation; request for guests to post on your blog; run sponsored ads—the opportunities are truly endless.

📝Optimize Your Product Pages

Without the products, there is no eCommerce business that you’re trying to build. Work on your product pages from the get-go. Here are some essential elements that need your immediate attention:

#1 Product Name

The name of your product is important. It is ideal to use an SEO title and URL to get more hits on searches for related items. For instance, if you’re selling home appliances as a DTC business, include a relevant keyword or phrase in your titles & URL.

#2 Image Optimization

The more your customers see your products, the more likely they are to hit that ‘Add To Cart’ button. If possible, show and highlight your products from different angles for visitors to gravitate towards key features.

#3 FAQ Content

Adding FAQs to your product pages can help your website rank higher. If your customers ask questions about a particular product, adding those to the page can help new visitors have a better experience.

#4 Video

Much like images, videos also help your website rank higher. Add videos that showcase your products at a greater length, including information just like how-to videos. You can also add testimonial videos on product pages which can be used on channels off the website, such as YouTube.

SEO practices for eCommerce websites are the holy grail to more reach, better brand awareness, and higher revenue. With just a few tweaks and changes and meticulous planning, you can sit back and let your SEO do the work for you.
