WHAT’S COOKING, HUH?

Brand emotion, not product.

There are plenty of people who offer exactly what you do; the only difference is branding, and not just any branding, but incredible branding.🔍

We've all had the impression that Starbucks sells expensive coffee ☕️, but the company still dominates the coffee industry. Starbucks does not sell coffee; rather, it sells the experience and comfort that goes along with it.😌 ( Comfort has definitely become our first priority)

Let us consider the holiday of Christmas.🌲

Hypothetical question? What if Christmas were a brand? What kind of product would it be? Xmas merchandise like Presents, Pudding, Canes de Mer, Trees, and Lights are fancy. 🍮

Or would it sell Christmas emotions? (Again, hypothetical question😂) Excitement and Joy, Giving Love in Family Celebration, etc. 😁 It is always preferable to sell emotion rather than the product itself.

For instance, "show your family a lovely lit-up tree" is better than "we have a collection of Xmas trees."

There is a distinct lack of products in the metaphysical world.

But what exactly is metaphysical branding?

As we saw with the Christmas example, we must base our branding on story/ emotions.

Here are a few pointers:

💴 Sell the experience that customers have when they buy from you.

💪 Sell the problems they're attempting to solve, as well as how great it would feel if you were able to solve them. (The feeling after solving others' problems hits different, right?)  😌

📖 Sell the story behind your brand and what it means to be a part of it.

So, what's your call? Are you selling your products or emotions?

Importance Of Customer Experience & Satisfaction Part 2 - How To Improve On It

This week, let’s pick up where we left off.

You now know the importance of customer experience and satisfaction as well as the metrics that are important to understand where your brand lacks when it comes to the same. So in this power-packed section, we’re going to be talking about ways to improve your customer experience to help your business grow to its full potential

👉 Gain higher revenue

👉 Attract more customers

👉 Increase engagement

👉 Enhance your brand image

And all it would take are a few simple steps. Let’s begin!

💸Invest In Good UX/UI Design

Trying to cheap out on average-quality UX design can cost you up to ten folds later. A good UX can help your users have a seamless experience while navigating through your website. That’s why paying attention to the same is essential.

Hiring an experienced and professional UX designer is the ideal way to go. Their experience can help you understand potential roadblocks in your customers’ user journey and possible solutions for the same. Their attention to detail can help deliver the ideal service-providing platform for your D2C business that can help you reach greater heights.

📍Map Out Your Customers’ User Journey

Of course, no one knows (or should know) your customers better than you. Collect data across a period of time; learn more about users’ behavior when interacting with your social media and website; request feedback on several platforms - use these resources to map out your customers’ journey on your website.

Once you have defined your customers’ user journey, you would be able to learn more about areas of improvement, problems they face when interacting with your platform, etc. Using their feedback about your platform’s design would also make your customers feel heard.

📝Integrate Surveys Into The Website Design

Speaking of feedback, integrating surveys into your website design is a great way to improve customer satisfaction. HomePage, check-out page, overall website experience survey on the follow-up email - adding surveys at every step of the way (careful, not to have too many!) will help your customer feel important and acknowledged. After all, everyone likes to be heard.

🕵️Have A Responsive Website

Over 90% of customers look up websites on their phones, owing to the recent increase in ads and convenient CTAs on social media platforms. If your website isn’t optimized to be viewed on phones, laptops, tablets, and other devices, then you’re missing out on potential loyal customers! When creating an online platform, ensure to be available to every customer

🗨️Live Webchat

Ever visited a website only to be greeted by a small chatbox hovering at the corner of your screen? That’s the live chat feature (which can also be up and running 24x7 for your D2C platform!).

It’s an easy tool to ignore if not useful but a powerful one if your customer does need support while navigating through your website. It’s an advantageous feature since it gives your customers immediate support for problem resolution.

Static Resources

Millennials don’t like receiving calls; they rather prefer emails. But of course, you cannot let a huge chunk of your customer group fend for themselves when facing a problem pertaining to your business and services. At times like these, you could provide live support as well as static resources, such as FAQs!

It is ideal to have a page on your website dedicated to general FAQs regarding your services and products. You could timely update it as you face and solve more challenges along the way.

🗣️ Social Media Support

If your customers are replying to your social media posts and engaging with you online, acknowledging them would prove to be fruitful. When they leave queries, ensure to provide them with prompt customer support online. This increases customer satisfaction and keeps them reeled in.

🌏 Promote UGC Content Online

UGC content is the key to unlocking the door of customer engagement (code for: better customer experience). If you give the rightful importance, engage with them online, and encourage them to share their journey with your brand online via your online presence, your customer satisfaction score will soon break the scale.

So there you have it! Using these 8 simple but useful tips in your business strategy can help boost your customer experience and satisfaction, allowing your business to take flight.

BRAND OF THE WEEK is…

Andie's Series B investment round comes on the heels of its previous funding round last year and its foray into brick-and-mortar retail. CityRock Venture Partners, Trail Mix Ventures, and other investors contributed $6.5 million in Series A funding to the brand in October 2020. 🤯

The funds allowed the company to expand its all-female workforce ( Yay 🥳) and introduce additional product lines.

According to a press release, the business established its first pop-up shop in West Palm Beach, Florida, in November. It has concentrated on reaching new customers and extending its product range in addition to exploring its offline strategy.

Andie's omnichannel distribution growth and worldwide expansion will be aided by the investment.  To appeal to a wider range of clients, the company wants to increase its executive team and add more goods to its current offering. (Cool, right?)

The firm debuted its intimates range in April, which included two bralettes and three underwear designs.

"We're committed to continuing to be a source of comfort for women as we enter new categories," Melanie Travis, founder, and CEO of Andie.

"The brand has had an extraordinarily strong growth year, and this capital will fuel our next stage of growth as we continue to bridge the gap between swim, intimates, and loungewear, as well as hone our omnichannel retail strategy, meeting our customers wherever they are."
