πŸ‘‰πŸ» COHORT BASED MARKETING

Knock, knock? Who's there?

OPPORTUNITY.

Consumer brands can enter new markets, increase sales, launch a subscription model, and reap higher margins with less effort.

We're sure half of the people reading this have a Netflix subscription (or are using a friend's account), so this is the best example of what a subscription is.

In a leading market research firm, 54% of shoppers are engaged with a subscription service.

πŸ‘‰πŸ» THE FUTURE OF DTC WITH CRYPTOCURRENCIES AND NFTs.

A digital wallet could reduce cart abandonment by providing users with simple payment options. According to the report, β€œan online shopper may have to travel through 5–10 phases to complete a purchase.”

On the other hand, the impact of digitally native payment processing extends far beyond a store's user experience.

Let's say you own a piece of art, and someone else has a copy of it and claims it as their own. This is where NFTS comes in handy.

Now you've decided to construct an NFT for your artwork. The NFT that represents your artwork has information that identifies it, such as a fingerprint or blockchain tokens. You are now the owner of the work of art. Now, the person who claimed ownership of it is no longer able to do so.

πŸ‘‰πŸ» D2C x COP26

The United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP26) has set the world on a course to aggressively reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate global warming.

The purpose of this Summit was to encourage countries to strengthen their climate plans to avoid the worst effects of climate change. Mr.Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, urged countries to return to the summit every year to nudge one another "until we keep to 1.5 degrees, until subsidies to fossil fuels end, until there is a price on carbon, and until coal is phased out”.

The idea confirms climate experts' and campaigners' concerns that there is a huge gap between present national promises and the kinds of cuts needed to protect the world from collapsing into a full-fledged climate crisis.

D2C x METAVERSE

Facebook and Microsoft aren’t the only ones creating a metaverse.

Mark Zuckerberg of Meta (formerly Facebook) and Satya Nadella of Microsoft both say they want to build the metaverse. While Big Tech may have popularised the term recently, the web3 community has been working on this for quite some time.

Today, you may use Cryptopunks and Bored Apes on video calls, but these will be replaced by realistic virtual avatars of ourselves someday. Microsoft, on the other hand, wants to power the metaverse for businesses with platforms such as Dynamics 365 and others.

While Big Tech firms may be enthusiastic about the metaverse, smaller but intriguing projects have already begun. These are available on popular cryptocurrency exchanges such as WazirX, Binance, Coinbase, and others.

Here are some of the top coins and metaverse projects to keep an eye on.

The Sandbox has been in development for over four years by Hong Kong-based gaming company Animoca Brands. The Sandbox, the company's metaverse game, is now set to go live on November 29 of this year. It enables users to explore a virtual game world and monetize their activities within it using a play-to-earn model.

Sandbox Alpha, the company's play-to-earn event, will begin on November 29 and will allow a select group of players to earn 1000 SAND tokens. Sandbox Alpha will also include 18 new experiences as well as three new NFTs to collect. A longsword, a dragon, and a medieval gate are among the NFTs.

Decentraland, like The Sandbox, is a virtual world powered by cryptocurrencies and NFTs. In this case, spending time in Decentraland's virtual world earns you the MANA token, while LAND is the NFT.

Wallet Connect, an open protocol that allows Dapps to connect to mobile wallets via QR codes, is also supported by the platform.

WHAT'S COOKING, HUH?

As D2C platforms struggle to contend with the economics and scale required, FuboTV CEO David Gandler believes the balance of power in the streaming market will move from creators to aggregators within the next two years.

A successful D2C approach requires skill in technology, marketing, and customer service, as well as the ability to reach a global audience - something that was out of reach for even the biggest names in sports.

Aggregators are the most successful enterprises on the planet. Original programming accounts for only 40% of Netflix's repertoire.

With the acquisition of Molotov for $190 million, FuboTV plans to expand globally.

Because of the presence of CBS, NBC, Disney, and others, as well as existing platforms like Amazon and Netflix, competing in a saturated market where consumers have limited dollars to spend on content is becoming increasingly challenging.

The Premier League's broadcast deal in the United States was recently increased to US$2.7 billion due to demand from streaming providers, while the PGA Tour and WWE have incorporated their DTC platforms within NBC's Peacock.

In the United States, Canada, and Spain, FuboTV currently markets itself as a "cable TV replacement service" for cord-cutters.

FuboTV is continuously looking ahead and expanding our capabilities and is going to be slow and steady.
