Meta Shakes Up Staffing in Quest for Efficiency: 10,000 Layoffs Announced

Oh snap, Meta's at it again! According to a memo from CEO Mark Zuckerberg, the company is cutting 10,000 more employees and nixing 5,000 job openings. Ouch, that's gonna leave a mark!

This ain't the first rodeo for Meta – they already pink-slipped 11,000 workers back in November. And it's not just jobs on the line – Meta's cancelling "low priority" projects and shaking things up to streamline the whole shebang.

Zuckerberg is feeling optimistic, though. He says that after the last round of layoffs, the company actually moved faster on important projects. Who knew getting rid of dead weight could be so liberating?

But let's not forget the big picture here: Meta still made a cool $23 billion in profit last year, even though earnings were down 4% in Q4. So while things might not be all sunshine and rainbows right now, Zuck thinks we should brace ourselves for a bumpy ride in the economy for a while to come.

Hang on tight, folks – it's gonna be a wild one!

Video Bites: All Things DTC! Get the Groove with Andy Samberg and Snoop Dogg in Corona Extra's 'Keeping the Beat' TV Spot

Snoop Dogg and Karol G are posted up on a tropical beach, sipping on some ice-cold Coronas and getting their jam on. They're drumming up a storm with their hands and empty beer bottles, making sweet music together under the blazing sun.

But then, outta nowhere, Andy Samberg crashes the party! And not just any party, but a party with a banging beat! This dude starts busting out some serious shell skills, leaving Snoop and Karol G flabbergasted. They're like, "Whaaaat?! Where'd this dude come from?!"

And Andy, being the humble dude he is, just shrugs it off like it's no biggie. He's all like, "Oh, this old thing? Just something I've been working on." But let me tell you, it's straight-up epic. These three amigos are creating some serious beach vibes and making magic with their mad skills.

So if you're looking for a good time, head on down to that tropical beach and join in on the fun. Who knows, maybe you'll be the next one to jump in on that sick beat!

TikTok Mulls Breakup with ByteDance Over National Security Concerns, Reports Suggest

It looks like TikTok might be breaking away from its parent company, ByteDance, in response to concerns from the US government. Apparently, they're worried about national security risks – yikes!

TikTok's currently going through a national security review in the US, and they're trying to jump through all the hoops to keep on keepin' on. But things are kinda up in the air, and TikTok's not sure if they're gonna be able to stay in the game.

There's been talk for a while now about how user data on TikTok could end up in the hands of the Chinese government. And across the pond in the UK, security minister Tom Tugendhat's getting all worked up too. He's asked the cyber-security experts in government to suss out any risks TikTok might pose.

We know you love your TikTok dances and lip syncs, but safety first, folks! It's important for everyone to understand what apps are asking for and how they might be digging into our lives. Stay tuned for more updates – we'll be watching this one closely!
