Elrond As ‘MultiversX’ - Focuses On The Metaverse 

Elrond's recent move to reinvent itself as a Metaverse-focused corporation is the first of its sort, with a top 50 cryptocurrency project completely rebranding itself. The adjustments that followed will specifically target virtual world users. It remains to be seen whether this will have a favourable influence on the price of EGLD.

Stocks of Meta and Snapchat rose significantly following Commissioner Brendan Carr's announcement that TikTok would be banned in the United States. Meta Platforms Inc's NASDAQ-listed shares reached a high of 97.25 dollars per share. Meta shares are trading at 95.84 USD (+2.88%) as of 14:33 EDT. 

Similarly, Snapchat's stock price on the New York Stock Exchange increased to 10.61 dollars per share. Snap Inc shares are trading at 10.25 USD (+3.43%) as of 14:34 EDT. Snap Inc closed at $9.91 US dollars on Monday.

The rapid increase in the stock value of Meta Platforms and Snap Inc implies that investors see TikTok's ban in the United States as a good development in the social media and entertainment sectors. 

TikTok is being seen as a competitor in the social media industry by the parent company of Facebook, Meta Platforms, and Snapchat, as Meta officially recognised that new competition such as TikTok was one of the key reasons the firm faced a loss in advertisement revenue. The business also recognised that Meta-owned social media networks like Facebook and Instagram were losing young members to TikTok and other new-age platforms.
