#111 The Least boring Weekly Newsletter

Good Morning Readers🌞! Here’s to wishing for a successful day ahead!

While some of us shop at Walmart religiously, others only do so in an emergency. But Walmart is offering you a terrific reason to start if you don't often shop there🛍. When shopping on Walmart.com, a new area called Walmart Restored is now available, according to a blog post by Michael Mosser, general manager of Walmart Marketplace.

You can browse through anything on the Walmart Restored page, including reconditioned vacuums, home security systems, and cell phones that have all been checked, examined, and cleaned by experts. The Walmart Restored website warns that items might have minor dings or blemishes. While items are offered by "top-rated performance managed merchants and suppliers," according to Mosser, Walmart provides you 90 days to return or replace your purchase if it is not up to standard.

Walmart Restored currently is only accessible online, but the giant has greater intentions. However, whether you're searching for new technology or appliances or a sustainable purchasing choice, you may browse the current product selection online right now📦. Walmart did not indicate which locations will be giving the possibility to peruse refurbished items in person.

Almund’s newsletter will give you all kinds of tips for DTC brands and much more.

Alright, so let’s get right to it!

Saks OFF 5TH and Rent the Runway Collaborate to Offer Pre-Owned Clothing

With its Wardrobe in the Cloud, the first and biggest shared designer closet in the world, Rent the Runway, which was founded in 2009, is upending the trillion-dollar fashion business and revolutionizing how women dress. The biggest shared designer closet, Rent the Runway, and Saks OFF 5TH has joined to provide Saks OFF 5TH consumers access to pre-owned designer clothing for the first time straight from Rent the Runway. Saks OFF 5TH is the leading luxury off-price destination. Today, Rent the Runway clients may rent à la carte, subscribe to fashion, or browse secondhand.

This collaboration with Saks OFF 5TH is an expansion of Rent the Runway's current resale service, giving customers another chance to experience its designer inventory while widening the potential client base for RTR. Each item will be marked with a Rent the Runway-specific emblem on SaksOFF5TH.com and has been certified by Rent the Runway to be in "great condition." The garment science team at Rent the Runway analyses data to refine washing procedures and ways to lengthen the lifespan of garments. Customers of Saks OFF 5TH will support a more circular fashion economy by purchasing previously used items from the Rent the Runway selection.

According to a poll of Saks Off 5th shoppers, more than 70% of them have already bought used clothes, shoes, or accessories, and another 80% desire to be able to buy secondhand items directly from the American shop. According to business consulting firm Boston Consulting Group, the resale market is expanding twice as quickly as the firsthand industry and is predicted to reach over $60 billion globally by 2025. "When you shop secondhand on our site, it feels more like a regular luxury shopping experience, because we offer depth and breadth of the inventory," Rent the Runway CEO and co-founder Jennifer Hyman told Forbes. Since its inception, RTR has been committed to empowering women to feel their best every day. Customers may subscribe to RTR, rent products as needed, and purchase pre-owned items from more than 800 designer labels.

How to Increase Sales Using User-Generated Content

You're probably not getting the results you want with your current marketing strategies. Maybe you've been using the same old tactics, like having a salesperson email prospective customers or sending out a press release to all of your contacts. Maybe you've tried buying ads on social media, but they don't seem to be working as well as they used to. Or maybe your website is outdated and doesn't have any of the features that make people want to buy from you.

User-generated content is the next big thing in marketing, and it's easy to see why. It helps you connect with your audience on their level, which means more trust and loyalty. Plus, it allows you to reach people who might not have been able to find your brand before—people who would never have given you a chance otherwise. But when it comes time to actually implement it? That's when things get tricky. You need to make sure you have the right tools in place and that everyone involved is working toward the same goals as you are. If not, then what was supposed to be a win for everyone could end up being just another waste of time!

For small businesses, user-generated content (UGC) is a fantastic marketing strategy. By showcasing and promoting customer evaluations, pictures, and testimonials, businesses may boost consumer trust in their brand. In fact, according to a Stackla poll, UGC has a significant influence on 79% of consumers' purchase decisions.

Steps to double sales with user-generated content are as follows:

Step-1: In order to double sales with User-Generated Content, you'll need to find a way for your customers to generate content for you. This can be done by creating a form on your website where people can submit content (for example, a review). Or it could be as simple as requiring people to create content in order to use their product or service.

Step 2: Identify your customer base then find out what they want and how you can help them achieve it. Design the content that will help them achieve their goals. Create a plan to promote it, including social media strategies, distribution channels, and advertising plans. Get the content in front of your target audience and start measuring results.

Step 3: Once there are enough customers generating content for you, you'll want to start sharing those articles on social media. This helps build awareness of your brand and increases the number of people who will see the article before they know what it's about.

Step 4: Once you've done all that, start incorporating user-generated content into your marketing strategy. You can do this by offering discounts on products or services if they're posted by users; posting more frequently; partnering with influencers who have large followings; or adding user-generated content directly into ads or emails.

Step 5: Make sure you have a website that looks professional, so people will trust it and buy from you. Use the right keywords when you write blog posts or other content for social media because those are the words people are looking for when they search for what you're selling! Register for Google Adwords and Facebook ads so that when someone types in one of these keywords into their browser, they'll see your ad. This way, even if they aren't searching for what you sell directly, they'll see your ad anyway. It might be difficult to keep track of UGC across many sites. To find out when customers or businesses mention your brand or items online, you may set up a Google alert. By doing this, you can keep up with the most recent customer reviews of your company.

In honor of the premiere, MUDWTR debuted its newest short film, which examines the fanciful history of mushrooms and their frequently shady, frequently misunderstood, and fundamentally important connection to people and the planet Earth.

But what is attractive about this advertisement which made them feature in our DTC newsletter🤔?

🌞The theme's presentation is fabulous, making a noticeable difference. Their potential consumers are mostly stuck within the myths about mushrooms. They properly utilized their thinking with a dark and white theme throughout the advertisement, where the protagonist can be seen switching from one place to another.

🥽The way they have utilized graphics and visual presentation out there is very eye appealing to the viewers, making them watch the full advertisement without losing interest.

🛒They have also shown their USP points shortly and briefly, which also makes their consumers aware of their product's specialties.

🍄They have used a laboratory setup to make people aware of the chemicals used in mushrooms to keep their shelf life longer, making their products unique because they are chemical-free and lab-certified mushrooms.

🧠The way they have used the mushroom powder throughout the video will make viewers think the whole of their day that they saw something unique online, which is also the best way to promote the product physiologically.
